Mr. Shaikh Md. Ali Wakkas Tuhin joined South Asia Insurance Company Limited in November 2025 as the Deputy Vice President and Head of the Information Technology Department. He is a highly experienced ICT professional with over 15 years of diversified experience in information technology, system administration, and software development across various organizations in Bangladesh and abroad.

He holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, awarded under the Pakistan President Scholarship for Bangladeshi students. He has also completed Oracle 11g Developer certification training from the Hi-Tech Park, Kaliakoir, funded by the World Bank.

Mr. Tuhin is a certified IT professional with extensive expertise in PHP development, CCNA networking, Red Hat (Ubuntu) Linux, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle 11g Development, Oracle Database Administration (DBA), and other advanced ICT domains. His strong technical background enables him to effectively lead enterprise IT systems and drive digital transformation initiatives within the organization.

He has been honored with the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman ICT Scholarship by the Government of Bangladesh and secured 1st Prize (Gold Medal) in a national-level essay writing competition, reflecting his academic excellence and leadership potential from an early stage.

Prior to joining South Asia Insurance Company Limited, Mr. Tuhin served in Eastern Insurance Company Limited, Rupali Insurance Company Limited, and several other organizations both in Bangladesh and abroad, where he gained valuable experience in IT infrastructure, system development, and enterprise technology management.

With his strong academic foundation, technical expertise, and extensive professional experience, Mr. Tuhin plays a pivotal role in strengthening the technological capabilities and digital infrastructure of South Asia Insurance Company Limited, contributing to its operational efficiency and innovation-driven growth.
